Hi there, I am writing thank you for your wonderful helix design.  I have built many wooden clocks, but this may be my favorite.  Very clever drive mechanism and mechanics and truly a work of art.I am also impressed by its consistency.  I keep it in my office and is  accurate to a minute a day.I have to say it has required a bit of tinkering while being built, but accuracy of the gears and precision is really excellent, once all the bugs were worked out has been very steady. Thanks again for a delightful project! All the best, Tom H.

Really a lot of fun to build, although pleasantly tedious.

I have a bunch of compliments:

bamboo plywood is really great,  much better than the baltic I had been using
Your  magnets for the clicks is brilliant (and challenging at first getting the buggers to behave)
you have a great artistic eye and clever designs.  Hard to improve on it.  In fact I also used the steel balls left over from helix, as you had done
Tube bushings make assembly so much easier and so much less friction.  As well as the bushing for the steel rods on the front frame.  So helpful when tuning and debugging.

Thanks again so much for sharing your great design.  It is a show stopper.

all the best , Tom

followup photo of the finished project.  thanks for a great plan
