His clock runs on 5.5-8.5 pounds and his strike mechanism runs on about 8 ounces. He is very reliable and hasn’t failed me yet, even in humid weather. His strike wheel is intricate so you’re going to need to pay attention when cutting it. The structure is designed so that reaching around to the back to wind it is best if you want full run time. It will run about 28hrs. Mine is placed against the wall so I can’t reach around the back so I wind it every morning and evening. This project will be an excellent addition to the upper crust in your achievements.
